Three years ago the Housing Ombudsman Service (HOS) set out to secure sustainable organisational performance improvement by re-designing its core process of Dispute Resolution and modernising its people management approaches. The Valuing the Individual initiative containing three distinct but interrelated strands was introduced as part of a transition from doing to performing – ‘Playing to strengths’, Diversity and Emotional Intelligence.
Paul Neville, Head of People and Development at HOS provides an overview of the approaches adopted by the organisation and shares insights on successes, difficulties and work-in-progress.
